Life Monica gets to be goalie at a skater clinic
today, and it happens to be one of the rinks where she wants to tryout this
season. Mike's making it much easier
to be there while I'm at work today. I
don't think Jewelry The website sale is going smashingly. I love being able to give my good customers
such awesome deals. I'm halfway through a really nice necklace at
home, but I'll have a lot of "work" time coming up with the kids
being gone for a week and a half. I'm surprised those latest two bracelets I put
on eBay haven't been BIN'd yet. There are quite a few watchers and those
are incredibly low prices. To Do I don't really want a "to do" list
today 'cause I'll be so busy shipping out orders. But after that I will update the SRA Jewelry page with the few changes. Customers You know, I'd just like to say how truly
grateful I am for having some of the most awesome customers in the
world. They are kind and generous and passionate
and sympathetic and humanitarian and just simply wonderful.
Life Gabe's picking up his newly
strung tennis racket today. Then he
and Mike will probably go play. I'll
go home after work and get the kids for stick time at OIC. They leave tomorrow for road trip vacation
with their dad. Things
I Took Care of Today - Got my 50% sale going - Listed a couple of bracelets
on eBay - Discovered I can't eat a whole small
vegetarian burrito - Made one change to EM-Ice but didn't see it
yet… even though I cleared my cache… and discovered that the site looks
totally whacked out in Firefox L - Took care of Etsy and eBay feedback - Started my jewelry give-away contest Jewelry Here are my new pieces. Sorry, they're still on eBay
only. I haven't had time to list them
here. But remember, they are ALWAYS
lower in price when you purchase directly from my website.
Life I'm behind in stuff. Important stuff, urgent stuff, and all
other stuff. I pinched a nerve in my
neck and was out of commission for awhile… then there's the occasional
migraine… and mostly the things that I take on in addition to my usual
tasks. Ugh! I gotta break the
habit, somehow, of being behind. Let
me think of some ways to do this… Don't micromanage if possible: I will find the things in my life that CAN be
done by others even if, in my self-righteous wisdom, I feel *I* could do it
better. We'll start with SRAJD. Alex and Patrice are already helping (as
far as I know, they are the only two founders who responded to my plea for
help). I will now ("now"
meaning as soon as I can get to it) put a notice on the home page (or send
out an email… or put a note on the SRAJD blog) to
the effect of asking for temporary help (that can become permanent should
both parties find that amenable) in exchange for free advertising (all I can
think of at the moment). At home, I will give the kids SPECIFIC tasks
they can take care of. Maybe once
they're in the habit, helping out around the house will become more natural
for them. I won't feel I'm responsible for EVERYTHING. If I don't want to make dinner one night, I
won't. I think a 13 year old, a 16
year old, and a 35 year old can figure out how to feed themselves without the
person who works two jobs having to do it. Things
I Took Care of Today - Posted the SRA Jewelry July special page - Touched base with a friend I hadn't
communicated with in years but didn't want to lose touch with… so happy she
took the initiative to track me down! - Edited some photos Wow, that really doesn't sound like much. I must be wasting time somewhere along the
line. I'll try to be more "in the
moment" tomorrow. Things
I Want to Remember to Take Care - Make changes to
EM-Ice - Leave feedback at
eBay and Etsy - Pay remaining bills - List - Solicit for the - Email soap person - Check SRAJD blog - Figure out if I want to keep this blog or create one on BlogSpot
instead - Taxes - Gabe's learner's
permit - Ask Patrice to email SRAJD acceptance
letters - Find someone to respond to SRAJD requests - Visit B&B forum - Contact Jewelry I'm at the tail-end of a large custom order
for a wedding. It has been one of my
more fun custom orders to do and the person I'm working with is awesome, but I
still get totally nervous about trying to match someone else's vision. I hope everything works out. TTYL! |
