Life

Have to post in here 'cause I'm getting ridiculously behind.

Jewelry

I've restocked the store.  Make sure you check out the bracelets and necklaces.

A couple  I'd like to make special note of include (click a pic to go to the listing):

Then I got some new stuff listed on eBay (click a pic to go to the listing):

There's actually a lot more, including a slew of $9.99 earrings, but I don't want to overdo the photos here.  Have a look at the whole store if you like.

Other things that don't make you a better person, but might make you a more interesting one

Or not…  Anyway, check this out… these are German Giant rabbits and they are REAL.

Pretty wild, huh?

Oh, speaking of rabbits… this is an angora rabbit (photo from Wikipedia):

A shared thing… I think it's funny… my kids didn't… maybe they're not old enough…

How To Shower Like a Woman:
Take off clothing and place it in sectioned laundry hamper according to lights and darks.
Walk to bathroom wearing long dressing gown.
If you see husband along the way, cover up any exposed areas.
Look at your womanly physique in the mirror - make mental note to do more sit-ups/leg-lifts, etc.
Get in the shower.
Use face cloth, arm cloth, leg cloth, long loofah, wide loofah and pumice stone.
Wash your hair once with cucumber and sage shampoo with 43 added vitamins.
Wash your hair again to make sure it's clean.
Condition your hair with grapefruit mint conditioner enhanced with real passion fruit.
Wash your face with crushed apricot facial scrub for 10 minutes until red.
Wash entire rest of body with ginger nut and jaffa cake body wash.
Rinse conditioner off hair.
Shave armpits and legs.
Turn off shower.
Squeegee off all wet surfaces in shower.
Spray mold spots with Tilex.
Get out of shower and stand on bathmat.
Dry with towel the size of a small country.
Wrap hair in super absorbent towel.
Return to bedroom wearing long dressing gown and towel on head.
If you see husband along the way, cover up any exposed areas.

How To Shower Like a Man:
Take off clothes while sitting on the edge of the bed and leave them in a pile.
Walk naked to the bathroom.
If you see wife along the way, shake wiener at her making the woo-woo' sound.
Look at your manly physique in the mirror.
Admire the size of your wiener and scratch your butt.
Get in the shower.
Wash your face.
Wash your armpits.
Blow your nose in your hands and let the water rinse them off.
Fart and laugh at how loud it sounds in the shower.
Spend majority of time washing privates and surrounding area, probably with your wife's loofah.
Wash your butt, leaving those coarse butt hairs stuck on the soap.
Wash your hair.
Make a Shampoo Mohawk.
Pee.
Rinse off and get out of shower.
Avoid bathmat.
Dry off forearms and butt only.
Fail to notice water on floor because curtain was hanging out of tub the whole time.
Admire wiener size in mirror again. Shake it to watch water fly off.
Leave shower curtain open, wet mat on floor, light and fan on.
Return to bedroom with towel around waist.
If you pass wife, pull off towel, shake wiener at her and make the woo-woo' sound again.
Throw wet towel on bed.

Okay, an now on to amazement:  Check out THESE origami creations.

And last but not least:

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in what order the ltteers in a word are, the only iprmoetnt tihng is that the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae.  The rset can be a total mses and you can still raed it wouthit porbelm.  This is bcuseae the human mind deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the word as a wlohe.

Life

Hey look, I'm getting better.  J

Mon's got a cold this week.  Both kids go to the psychologist this Friday (for the custody evaluation).  Then Saturday we're off for Sacramento hockey camp.

Been looking at colleges (and scholarships) for Gabe.  I wonder if the Junior A tryouts next month will change his mind about anything.  We'll see.

Monica's reading Dexter right now (yes, the same as the tv show, about a serial killer who hunts serial killers).  Gabe's reading The Firm (and liking it, thank goodness).  I'm just finishing a Mrs. Pollifax that I've read before.  Would like to try Mon out on that series.  But until then, I got "Sight Unseen" by Audry Erskine Lindop and "My Name is Asher Lev" by Chain Potak (sp?) for her.  AFTER she finishes Dexter.  We're also reading (listening to in the car) "Something Wicked This Way Comes" by Ray Bradbury.  Ugh… I forgot how purple prosey he is.  Ah well.

Last night, Gabe and I were watching a science show about the universe.  This episode was about gravity.  It's all pretty wild and interesting stuff.  Gabe's interested in it, but not enough to consider being a scientist or astronomer.

We have a slew (and I say "slew" because I'm notoriously horrid at getting around to watching movies… you all KNOW what my free time is like) of movies to watch.  These are movies that were created from books we've read recently.

So aside from The Firm and Something Wicked This Way Comes, we still have The Green Mile and I Am Legend.  We just did The Mist (not overly thrilled).

And now I'm completely out of time and haven't posted one-tenth of the stuff I wanted to post.  Oh well, next time.  J

Life

I'm afraid this might be a big entry today because it's been so long since I've blogged.  Yep… busy busy busy.

Hockey

Regarding the kids, they started attending camp in Sacramento.  Some mixed feelings about some aspects of it but other aspects are so very positive.

I'm getting a little nervous about where the kids will be playing this season.  I hate to say it, but I think this time cost will definitely dictate their options.

Life

Wow, that was a long vacation from my blog. My apologies.  I wonder how many readers I lost.  Well, it's relative; I don't even know how many readers I have to begin with.  As far as I know, I'm here talking to myself.  Which is fine.  I do this for me.  But don't tell Mom; she thinks I do it for her.  Ha ha ha!  Kidding Mom.  But you are the only one I KNOW that reads it for sure.

Had my solo meeting with the custody evaluator last night.  I have no impressions of how it went, but at least it's over with and the whole process is moving along.  He'll meet with the children next.  I do know that courts don't like to change things so the reasons for our requested change have to be compelling (in their mind/s anyway).  Whatever we get in life, we'll deal with.  That's how it is.

Email

I have too many email accounts.  Anyway, I am (as we speak!) going through one of them.  I'm finding old mail I should have responded to.  L

Advice

So, someone called me the other day and as a last minute note, she mentioned something she hadn't intended to discuss.  But I'm glad she did and I think she is also glad she did.  I think I was able to have her look at a concern she was having from a different perspective, a liberating perspective.  It's funny to think that someone a person can say can actually have an affect on someone, and a positive affect at that.  How nice, huh?

Learning

Today I learned how to create flash stuff and how to embed it into my html documents for website use.  Took me a long time.  I feel like a slow learner.  But at least I got results.  Not sure who reads my blog so I don't think I can "expose" the site yet.  Soon, though, I hope.

Jewelry

I made some new stuff but I don't think I can show you until tomorrow.  I'm out of time.  Hope to get more of the vintage stuff listed this weekend too.

Oh, and I have some cut animal/kid pix to show you tomorrow.  My BFF sent them.  J  (Well, I may not be her BFF, but I'm gonna call her mine until she protests… ha!).

TTYL!
