Forgive me... I totally missed the entire month of November as far as this website goes.

As usual, our lives are so "fast lane' that I have no idea what I've missed and what I need to bring you up to speed on. Hm

Well, let me start with the most recent and if anything comes to mind from way back, I'll try to mention it.

I have done almost no lampworking over the past few months. It's a combination of no free time and a back door that won't open anymore (my propane is in the back yard).

We realized the leak in the living room just wasn't going to fix itself (ha!), so we bit the bullet, robbed Peter to pay Paul and got a new roof.

Alas, the leak is still there.

Here's how the living room ceiling looked at 9:00 this morning…

… and here's how it looked five minutes after I took that picture…

Shrug

Oh, but it gets better. This house stands for almost one hundred years and when WE MOVE IN it decides to fall apart. Aaaaaaaaaa!!!

The foundation is on its last legs… here are some photos of the cracks inside the house that are most recent (and come from the house shifting):

And here are some of the cracks (and a moving porch!) on the outside:

But there are a lot of really great things in our lives too. It's not all doom and gloom.

The kids are enjoying another season of hockey (their favorite thing in the world). Gabe's on a team that was supposed to be a B team but got into the A league due to an error/oversight. Basically what it means is they are losing every game. But they have heart (the coach's exit speech).

… and hopefully next season will be very different.

Gabe just told us last night that he was named captain for the team. That's very unusual, for a goalie to be a captain.

Monica has more hockey this year than she knows what to do with and she's loving it.

Monica is also making some exquisite jewelry and is totally knocking my socks off with her talent.

Well, I've got things to do now so I'm going to cut this short, but will try to do better with updates.

TTYL!
