Lots to do this weekend, 'cause even though I enjoyed my trip to Sacramento last weekend, it put me behind on my regular tasks.

I've got four pages (!!!) of new jewelry items listed here.

Plans for this weekend include:

Getting a start on the backyard (will explain more later)

Torching ('bout time!)

Getting a few orders out (when am I not doing that?)

Taking the kids to Erin's apt tomorrow for a visit and a swim

Getting my new listings up, which include that very un-Laura like necklace

Hasta la vista, Baby!

BTW, got anything to say to me… click on the GUESTBOOK!

Don't really have much to say, but I do want to do a quickie update.

Went to Sacramento this weekend. Had a great visit with Dad... but learned that no matter what I say, he's not going to come and read my blog so I will TRY very hard to remember to email him separately.

Then went on to Mom's house and had an equally nice visit. On Sunday we saw a performance of the Lipizzaner stallions before heading back to the Bay Area.

Needless to say, I'm uber behind on EVERYTHING now. Sigh...

Have a crapload of email to get through.

Have SRAJD stuff to take care of.

Have 3 necklaces and 2 bracelets to list.

Have 3 bracelets to put clasps on, photo, and list.

Have orders to get out.

Have house-cleaning to do.

Saw an email update/newsletter from MaryAnn Williams (who I like a lot more than my inattention would seem). Wow, what a glass artist (and very nice person!). Would love to stay in touch with her.

Trying to get over my anger at myself for forgetting to send a piece of jewelry into Kim's "Debi auctions". I just... well, I guess feeling like a flake is a sore spot for me 'cause I know I try very, very hard and I know I still let people down.

Decided, this morning, I really really really want one of two presses. Zoozii's Kalera trio or Zoozii's Puffed Pillow trio. Luckily, I can't decide yet which one to go for. I say "luckily" because I really can't afford a press now. Doesn't make me want one any less. Ha ha ha!

Also, need to make a final decision about the newsletter.

Well, that's enough of an update for now... see, I don't even have time to get rid of my last entry... that will have to wait...

Hm... it's very easy (too easy) to let one day's tasks slide into the next day... and if you do that too many times in a row, you just end up looking like a flake. But in your mind you're saying, "What's the difference, today or tomorrow? I mean, will ONE DAY make that much difference?" But if you say that day after day...

Sigh...

So here I am, writing after a long absence. I apologize for the silence.

The last two weeks kinda went like this: One week of going crazy with no time to myself, and one week of recovering and doing some things I wanted to do.

The first week was the kids in hockey camp in San Jose, and us billeting another kid from out of town. So I'd take everyone to the San Jose rink early in the morning, then drive back to work in Oakland... then go to pick them up in San Jose at the end of the day and drive back to home in Oakland.

The driving was about 5 hours a day because it was a LOT of rush hour traffic. Ugh!

So when that ended, I was behind on everything.

I spent the next few days (five) hanging with the kids and Mike, making glass beads, making jewelry, playing tennis, going to the arcade, walking Bear, and... UGH... taking care of another kitten?!?!?!

Oh, first, the Sunday before hockey camp, we finally celebrated Gabe's birthday by going to Great America (Mon, Gabe, Stephanie, and me).

Now, about that kitten. Hmph! No good deed goes unpunished. We were helping out some homeless people by paying them to do some yardwork for us. So after we pay them today, what does the main guy do? Gives me a 5-week old stray.

It only weighs about a pound and a half so we have to put another half pound on it before the SPCA will take it.

Oh, while we're on kitty pictures... here's Mr. Relaxo guarding my glass stash...

Oh and here is the FABULOUS tool-holder Gabe made for me in woodshop...

The rest of the beads/jewelry that were listed here can now be found in my LAMPWORKING BLOG...
