NON BEAD RELATED:
Children
have an interesting sense of "fair".
I wonder if it's innate or learned.
Example:
This past weekend, Monica (10) was at hockey tryouts, and while her brother was
on the ice, she was hanging with a former teammate, Danica
(11). Dan got hiccups, so they went off
to the snack bar to have her swallow a teaspoon of sugar (one of many home
remedies for hiccups). In trying to
help, Monica grabbed and opened a packet of sugar and Danica
opened wide. Blech! Monica, not knowing any better, had grabbed a
pink packet… saccharine! Danica quickly washed the horrid taste down with some
water.
Now
here's the interesting part. This was
obviously an accident… but when the girls came back from the snack bar and
explained to us what happened, Danica followed up
with, "So I made Monica eat one of those pink packets too."
I
find this odd… but to the girls, it seemed the only fair thing to do.
BEAD RELATED:
Sold
"Ferocious"
on a BIN (thank goodness… too many days without real jewelry sales gets me
depressed and freaked out).
The
Volcano
Swarovski bracelet that I don't like has a ton of watchers (and a bid)… and
the blue
and yellow necklace that I adore hasn't got one single watcher. Did I already use the word
"bizarre" today?
The
kids will go to their dad's for dinner tonight so even though I'm probably
working late at the office, I'm sure I'll find time to make SOMETHING
tonight. No idea what, but that's no
surprise.
Have
my August Creativity Challenge all plotted out, but it will be a real PITA to
make. Ah well, if I succeed, I'll feel
like an artist. :-) I'm thinking of taking pictures of the
process… so that just in case it DOES come out, I'll have an article in the wings
for whenever I need one.
Oh,
have to remember to send an email to that magazine that wanted pictures of PC
projects… will show them Hakone Sunset…
they sounded desperate enough. Ha!
